Gifts and Donations
Open Gait provides equine assisted activities to our participants
at no cost. We gladly accept monetary gifts to offset the costs of
our program. Contributors like you make it possible to offer a
special place and experience for children coping with chronic or
life threatening illnesses. Donation checks can be sent to Open Gait
Therapeutic Riding Center, Inc., 3970 US HWY 72 East, Paint Rock,
Al., 35764. You may also contribute on line by clicking on one of
the donation buttons below.
Open Gait is a 501(c)(3) IRS approved charitable organization and
all gifts will be tax deductible. You will receive an acknowledgment
along with a tax receipt for your records.

Why Give to Open Gait?
Open Gait is a special
place for children coping with the everyday challenges of a variety
of disabilities and illnesses. In order to keep our program running
we need your help. Your donation will allow Open Gait to make a
difference in the lives of these children. We believe in the
importance of what we do here at Open Gait and want to be able to
continue to provide "Fun Therapy" for those in need.
Sponsorships
Open Gait is a 501(c)(3) IRS approved
charitable organization (non-profit). Open Gait is supported by
tax-deductible donations. Corporations, organizations, or
individuals may participate in any of the sponsorships listed below.
These sponsorships will fund our equine assisted program. Gifts in
any kind and in any amount are greatly appreciated. Contributor's
tax deductible gifts/donations will be acknowledged on our website,
and with signage at our farm. If you would like more information on

Volunteering
Open Gait is always in need of volunteers. Contact us at (256)776-3847 or (256) 468-4548 to schedule a visit to the farm. Open Gait welcomes anyone who would like to help! If loving and caring for equines and making a difference in a child’s life sounds like something you would like to do Open Gait is just the place. We do require that volunteers be at least 16 years old to work directly with the children. Previous experience is not necessary. We offer an orientation and training workshop for new volunteers so that Open Gait can operate in a safe and consistent manner.
